Royal Crown Cola was developed in the United States of America, Columbus, Georgia in 1905. Young certified pharmacist Claud A. Hatcher began creating his own non-alcoholic beverages in semi-basement of the pharmacy that belonged to his family. From these modest beginnings, Royal Crown Cola Co. rose to the third largest non-alcoholic beverage company in America.
Chero-Cola Co. had 315 factories located mainly in 14 southern states by 1925. Out of them, 310 were Chetro-Cola’s bottlers and 263 were producing on a franchising basis. In the early 1970s, the Royal Crown Cola Company seriously expanded its presence across the ocean, and at that time a large number of persons experienced in the beverage industry were attracted to develop and manage the company’s international relations. RC Cola has a solid foundation on the global market since then. So in 1996, the company’s products were already sold in 62 countries of the world.
Today RC Cola consists of 105 franchising factories around the world. It takes the 3rd place in sales of cola in the USA
